To enhance developers’ experience, we are simplifying the Gear application to two types: Standalone / Companion. Starting from July 23rd, please use the simplified structure when uploading your applications to the Seller Office.

 

Before, there were 3 application types : Standalone, Linked, and Integrated. As Linked and Integrated are of the same type, based on the perspective of a host application installed on the mobile device, the Gear application types have been reduced to Standalone and Companion.

 

Accordingly, our seller’s site has been updated on July 23rd 8AM (PST). New uploads must follow our simplified standard while previously uploaded applications can still be revised using the past structure.
