Hello, this is the Galaxy Store Seller Portal team.

According to the latest policy of MIIT in China,  sellers who want to publish an app in China that meet the listed conditions below, 

are required to register their app in China and, if approved, will receive a registration number.   

■ Applications: Android and Wear OS apps that meet all three of the following conditions must be registered in China

1. The app is distributed in China

2. The app works over the Internet 

3. The app server is located in China

■ Details

- New app registration: Starting in September 2023, apps that meet all of the above conditions must include the app registration number in Seller Portal. 

* Please register app registration number in [Apps > Add New App or App Details > App information > Chinese Simplified > License Code and file > Other 1~3] before December. 

- Updates for existing apps: Apps that are already being sold in China must register their app in China by  March 31, 2024. 

Therefore, all existing apps sold in China must be updated in Seller Portal to include the app registration number by March 31, 2024. 

If the registration number is not included in Seller Portal by March 31, 2024, the app will be processed in accordance with relevant laws.

- For apps that do not meet the above conditions, obtaining a registration number is     

not necessary. But,  other requirements must be met in order to distribute apps in China.
